As far as circular purchasing is concerned, Victoria Trading wants to be a forerunner in the area of foodservice. With circularity as our objective, we have jointly started a process for the collective purchase of fresh eggs. The members of Victoria Trading collectively use 8 million eggs a year. One of the pioneers in the field of fresh sustainable eggs is Kipster. The sustainable chicken farm is the most animal-friendly, environmentally friendly and people-friendly of its kind. Kipster's approach and philosophy are fully in line with Victoria Trading's sustainability objectives.
After a thorough feasibility study, Victoria Trading decided to invest in the construction of a second Kipster barn. This way, members get the first right to purchase all the products that come out of the barn. This means that in addition to the 7.5 million sustainable eggs produced by this stable, Victoria Trading also guarantees the purchase of the ingredients for 25,000 chicken schnitzels, 25,000 cockerel burgers and the value creation of 300,000 kilos of manure coming from the barn. In doing so, the members of Victoria Trading are emphatically assuming their social responsibility and setting a new standard for sustainable entrepreneurship within the foodservice sector.
